Woman Stabs Lover's Mother to Death in Meerut After Dispute Over Relationship
Meerut(The Uttam Hindu):A chilling incident has unfolded in Meerut, where a woman was brutally stabbed to death on the streets by her son's girlfriend. The shocking murder occurred after the woman opposed the relationship between her son and the accused. The killer had bought a knife three days before the incident and wore black clothes and a veil while carrying out the attack.
The murder took place in the evening near Ekta Park in the Medical police station area of Meerut. The victim, 42-year-old Dipali, worked as a domestic helper, along with the accused, 30-year-old Sonia. Sonia was in a relationship with Dipali's son, which had led to multiple arguments between the two women.
On Friday evening, Dipali was returning home after work when she was confronted by Sonia at the park entrance. An argument ensued, and in a fit of rage, Sonia attacked Dipali with a knife. Despite Dipali's desperate cries for help, no one intervened. She tried to escape into the park but was relentlessly pursued by Sonia, who stabbed her multiple times, ultimately causing her death.
Sonia, who had concealed her face with a veil and dressed in black, revealed during police interrogation that she had been harboring anger towards Dipali for a long time and had decided to kill her. She admitted to buying the knife three days before the murder and planning the attack.
The police arrested Sonia at the crime scene. In her confession, Sonia explained that she had been enduring insults and taunts from Dipali, which led her to take drastic action. Sonia’s relationship with Dipali’s son, Vikram, had been a point of contention, with the mother opposing their bond. The police are now questioning Vikram and other family members in connection with the case.
