UP bride walks out after shocking revelation about groom's job, despite Rs 1.2 lakh salary!
New Delhi(The Uttam Hindu):In a surprising turn of events in Uttar Pradesh's Farrukhabad district, a bride called off her wedding right after the Jaimala (garland exchange) ceremony. The shocking revelation came when she discovered that her groom, whom she had been told worked in a government job, was actually employed in the private sector.
The marriage had been arranged by the bride’s family with the help of an intermediary, who described the groom as a government engineer owning multiple properties, including six plots of land and 20 bighas of farmland. However, during the wedding celebrations, the bride found out the truth about his job, leading her to refuse to continue with the rituals.
In an attempt to salvage the situation, the groom quickly provided his payslip over the phone, showing that he earned a monthly salary of ₹1,20,000. Despite the hefty paycheck, the bride remained firm in her decision, as she had always hoped for a government-employed spouse.
In the end, both families agreed to settle the wedding expenses and parted ways, marking an unexpected and dramatic end to the planned ceremony.
