Two Women Escape Abuse and Find Love on Instagram – Their Shocking Journey to Marriage

Gorakhpur (The Uttam Hindu): In a surprising turn of events, two women from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh who had been victims of domestic abuse found love in each other after meeting on Instagram. Their relationship which began as a friendship, grew stronger over time and they eventually decided to marry.

The two women both from different villages in Gorakhpur’s Bansgaon area had been enduring mistreatment by their alcoholic husbands. Their bond started six years ago when they connected over shared experiences of marital abuse while making Instagram reels. They began confiding in each other which eventually blossomed into love. Having faced emotional and physical abuse for years both women decided to take control of their lives. One woman, a mother of four had been subjected to constant violence from her husband, while the other had been wrongly accused and mistreated by her spouse.

On Thursday, after secretly deciding to marry they traveled to Rudrapur’s Dudheshwar Nath Temple in Deoria, where they exchanged garlands and got married, vowing to live together forever. The two women made it clear that they see each other as equals without any differences. After the ceremony, the women shared their love story with those who inquired, explaining that despite the difficulties they had faced in their marriages they had found solace and affection in each other. Currently, they plan to start a new life together in rented accommodation free from the torment they had once endured.
