'We Will Kill 1000 Hindus’: Maha Kumbh Mela Under Terror Threat, Security Tightened!
Prayagraj (The Uttam Hindu): There is a serious threat looming over the Maha Kumbh Mela. A post on the social media platform X has threatened a bomb blast at the Maha Kumbh, which has prompted security agencies to be on high alert.
The post, shared by a person named Nasar Pathan, stated, "All of you, you are all criminals. We will carry out a bomb blast at the Maha Kumbh. We will kill 1000 Hindus. Allah is great." This post was re-tweeted on December 31 by Vipin Gaur, tagging UP Police's Dial-112. Following this threat, the police immediately took action and informed the Prayagraj Police Commissioner and various security agencies. Currently, the police are working to identify and arrest the individual responsible for the post.
This is not the first time that a threat has been made against the Maha Kumbh. Earlier, on December 24, Khalistani terrorist Amritpal Singh Pannu had also threatened an attack during the Maha Kumbh. The Maha Kumbh will begin on January 13 and continue until February 26, with an expected participation of around 50 crore people. In light of this threat, security arrangements have been further tightened.
Arvind Kumar Nain, the Operation Commander at UP-112 Headquarters in Lucknow, has written letters to various authorities, including the Director General of Police Intelligence in Lucknow, the Additional Director General of Police Law and Order, the Additional Director General of Police Security, the Additional Director General of Police ATS, and the SSP Kumbh, directing them to investigate the matter. The police are taking the threat seriously and are making every effort to apprehend the person responsible as soon as possible.
