From Bangladeshi intruders to monsoon, Shah gave these big instructions to Delhi government

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu) - Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday chaired a high-level meeting here with Delhi's newly elected Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Home Department Minister Ashish Sood, Delhi Police Commissioner and other senior officials on law and order and coordination in the capital.


According to sources, the Home Minister said that Delhi's double engine government will work at double the speed for a developed and safe Delhi as per the expectations of the Prime Minister. In the meeting, strict action against the entire network that helps Bangladeshi and Rohingya intruders enter, prepare their documents and stay here was also discussed. It was also said in the meeting that the issue of illegal intruders is also related to national security and strict action was taken in this matter and after identifying them, they were sent back. Instructions were also given to take strict action against police stations and sub-divisions that consistently perform poorly.


The Home Minister said that taking strict action against inter-state gangs in Delhi and eliminating them should be the priority of Delhi Police. He asked the agencies to work with 'top to bottom' and 'bottom to top approach' in narcotics cases and dismantle its entire network. The Home Minister directed that permission of Delhi Police will not be required in cases related to construction in Delhi. He asked the Delhi government to appoint special prosecutors for quick disposal of 2020 Delhi riots cases so that these cases can be settled soon. Delhi Police has also been asked to start the process of recruitment on additional posts soon. Shah said that Deputy Commissioner of Police level officers should organize public hearing camps at the police station level and resolve the problems of the public. He also directed to form new security committees in JJ clusters for the safety of women and children. He asked the Delhi Police to identify the places where there is daily traffic jam. Delhi Police Commissioner and Chief Secretary have been asked to meet and find a quick solution to this so that people get some relief. The Home Minister also asked the Delhi government to prepare a 'Monsoon Action Plan' to deal with the waterlogging in view of the upcoming monsoon season by identifying spots.
