BJP Turmoil in Haryana: Show-Cause Notice Issued to Anil Vij Over Controversial Statements

Ambala (The Uttam Hindu): Haryana BJP President Mohanlal Badole has issued a show-cause notice to Haryana Government Minister Anil Vij. According to the information, Vij has been accused of violating party discipline and working against its ideology. The state BJP chief has asked Vij to respond to the notice within the next three days.

What does the notice say?

The notice issued to Anil Vij states that it has come to the attention of the party that he has recently made public statements against the party's president and its chief minister. These are serious allegations and go against the party's policies and internal discipline. The notice further mentions that this action is not only against the party's ideology but also came at a time when the party was campaigning for elections in a neighboring state. The notice continues to say that such statements, especially while holding a respected ministerial position during election time, could harm the party’s image. Knowing this, you made these statements, and it is entirely unacceptable. Following the instructions of the national president, this show-cause notice is being issued. You are expected to provide a written clarification on this matter within three days.

Recently, Anil Vij had made statements against the state’s Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini, and the Haryana BJP chief. Vij had demanded the resignation of the Haryana BJP chief after an FIR was registered in a gangrape case in Himachal Pradesh. He also targeted CM Nayab Singh Saini in his comments.
