Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 Expected to Launch with Larger Battery and Enhanced Features
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 could launch later this year alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7, with details about the foldable smartphones surfacing online in recent weeks. Both models are expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, upgraded hinges, and improved cameras. A new report now claims that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 may come with a larger battery than its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Flip 6, which has a 4,000mAh battery.
According to a report from GalaxyClub, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is likely to be equipped with a 4,300mAh battery. The report suggests that the clamshell foldable could feature two cells—an EB-BF767ABY with a rated capacity of 2,985mAh and an EB-BF766ABY with a rated capacity of 1,189mAh. Together, these cells would provide a combined capacity of 4,174mAh, which would likely be marketed as a 4,300mAh typical capacity battery.
In comparison, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 has a combined rated battery capacity of 3,887mAh and ships with a 4,000mAh typical battery, offering up to 23 hours of video playback. The report also suggests that with the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 could offer longer battery life than any of its predecessor clamshell foldables. Additionally, earlier reports have speculated that the phone may be powered by the Exynos 2500 chipset.
The report further highlights that the larger 4,300mAh battery could be a key distinguishing feature between the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and a potential Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE variant.
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Other expected features for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 include a stronger hinge and a less noticeable display crease. Camera-wise, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is expected to feature a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide shooter.
