Jalandhar Police Neutralize Threat: Sonu Khatri Gang Members Injured

Jalandhar (The Uttam Hindu): According to initial reports, the CIA team had received information that gang members associated with gangster Sonu Khatri were active in the area. Acting on this tip-off, the team attempted to carry out a raid, but the suspects opened fire upon seeing the police. The police officers narrowly escaped the attack. In response, the police fired back, cornering the two criminals and injuring them in the process. Around 10 bullets were exchanged between the police and the suspects at the scene.

The police later recovered two sophisticated weapons from the injured criminals. Sources reveal that the CIA staff had received confidential information in the morning about members of the Sonu Khatri gang planning a major crime in the area. Upon receiving the intel, CIA in-charge Surinder Singh Kamboj and his team rushed to Jalandhar and began pursuing the suspects. When the police team closed in, the criminals started firing. Fortunately, no officers were seriously injured, though a few sustained minor injuries. The condition of the injured criminals is reported to be critical. Police Commissioner Dhanpreet Kaur arrived at the scene with other officers and oversaw the transportation of the injured criminals to the hospital. The authorities are planning to interrogate the suspects soon, and there is a possibility of recovering more weapons.
