Punjab clinches men’s under-23 state-a trophy with 56-run victory over Gujarat

Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): The Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) clinched victory in the Men’s Under-23 State-A Trophy defeating Gujarat by 56 runs in an exciting final. Batting first Punjab set a strong total of 317/8. Harnoor Singh played a brilliant knock scoring 100 runs off 103 balls which included 10 fours and 2 sixes. Captain Uday Saharan contributed with 59 runs while Ridham added a crucial 68 runs helping Punjab set a tough target for Gujarat.

In response Gujarat was bowled out for 261 runs falling short by 56 runs. PCA President Amarjit Mehta, along with other officials, congratulated the team, coach and support staff for their excellent performance and this remarkable victory.
