Indian team for ICC Champions Trophy 2025 revealed: Full squad and key players
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The Indian team for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has been announced. Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar revealed the 15-member squad during a press conference held in Mumbai. This year, the Champions Trophy will be played in a 'hybrid model' with matches hosted in Pakistan and Dubai. The tournament will kick off on February 19 with the opening match between host Pakistan and New Zealand in Karachi. Meanwhile, India will play its first match on February 20 against Bangladesh.
Rohit Sharma has been entrusted with leading the team and he was present at the press conference. Shubman Gill has been appointed vice-captain, while Yashasvi Jaiswal and Mohammed Shami have earned spots in the squad.
