Dhaka (The Uttam Hindu): Star India cricketer Virat Kohli and his wife Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma were recently spotted together at Mumbai’s iconic Gateway of India. The couple’s outing comes amidst Kohli’s recovery from a tough performance in the Border-Gavaskar series against Australia where India lost 1-3. Despite scoring just 190 runs in nine innings—although he did hit a century in the opening match—Kohli continues to enjoy unwavering support from his loyal fanbase which continues to celebrate his presence wherever he goes.

As India gears up for the upcoming white-ball series against England and the 2025 Champions Trophy Kohli is taking some much-needed family time in Mumbai. Before this the couple visited the renowned priest Premanand Maharaj in Vrindavan Uttar Pradesh where they spent time with their children, reconnecting with their spiritual roots. Known for their devotion to Lord Krishna both Kohli and Anushka have frequently been seen attending prayers and events related to the Hindu God.

During their visit Anushka shared a deeply personal reflection saying, "The last time I came I had a few questions in my heart. I wanted to ask those questions but someone else had already asked them. When I thought about coming here I spoke to you in my mind. The next day I opened ‘Kanti Vartalap’ and found that someone had asked the same questions. All I want now is your blessings." Touched by their devotion Maharaj praised the couple saying, "To dedicate yourself to God after achieving such fame is a difficult task. We believe your (Anushka’s) devotion will also have an impact on Kohli."

In related news Kohli along with teammates Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja announced their retirement from T20 internationals after India’s victory in the T20 World Cup 2024. However the trio will continue to feature in the ODIs against England and in the much-anticipated Champions Trophy 2024 ensuring that their contributions to the Indian cricket team will remain significant. As Kohli and Anushka continue their journey of faith and family their enduring connection with both their fans and spirituality remains a source of inspiration for many.
