Vivek Pratap Singh Appointed Principal Secretary to the Punjab Governor, Holds Vast Experience

Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): The Punjab government has appointed Vivek Pratap Singh, a senior IAS officer from the 1996 batch as the Principal Secretary to Governor Gulab Chand Kataria. This announcement was made on January 28, 2025. Before this new role, Singh was serving as the Principal Secretary for Technical Education and Industrial Training in Punjab.

The position of Principal Secretary to the Governor was previously held by K. Siva Prasad, who recently requested voluntary retirement (VRS). The government has approved Prasad's request and forwarded his file to the central government for further processing. Vivek Pratap Singh's vast experience in various government positions makes him well-suited for this new role. His appointment highlights the government's commitment to ensuring effective administration and governance in Punjab.
