Lawrence's brother Anmol set for extradition; alleged mastermind of Salman house firing reportedly in America
Jalandhar (The Uttam Hindu): Notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's brother, Anmol, is reportedly hiding in the United States, prompting the Mumbai Crime Branch to initiate extradition proceedings to bring him back to India. U.S. authorities have informed Indian officials about Anmol's location, leading to heightened efforts for his return.
Anmol has claimed responsibility for the recent shooting at Bollywood actor Salman Khan's residence, and he is also implicated in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, among other criminal activities. Following a special court's approval on October 16, the Mumbai police are now finalizing the necessary documentation for the extradition. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has placed a bounty of ₹10 lakh on Anmol, who has been charged in two cases from 2022 and is listed among the NIA's most wanted criminals.
Anmol, also known as Bhanu within the Lawrence gang, has a long criminal history, with over 22 cases registered against him across India, including serious charges like murder and extortion. Investigations have revealed that the Lawrence gang planned further attacks on Salman Khan after a previous shooting incident at Khan's Galaxy Apartment. Additionally, there are connections to the murder of Moosewala, with reports suggesting that Anmol and others orchestrated the killing while Lawrence was incarcerated. Anmol reportedly traveled from Dubai to Kenya and then to the U.S., where he has been spotted at various events, highlighting his ongoing criminal associations despite being on the run.
