Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh opts to relinquish Z security, requests withdrawal from centre

Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib has decided to forgo his Z security cover. According to sources, the Jathedar personally wrote to the central government requesting the withdrawal of his security detail. Previously, the central government had provided Z security to Giani Harpreet Singh after the Punjab government withdrew his protection.

The Z security package included the deployment of 15 to 20 security personnel. In response to his request, the central government acted swiftly and removed the Z security detail from Giani Harpreet Singh today.
