From Politics to Meditation: Kejriwal to Begin Vipassana Journey in Hoshiarpur
Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will visit the Vipassana Center in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, starting March 4. This will be Kejriwal’s first trip outside the national capital since the Delhi Assembly elections. He has attended Vipassana retreats before and had previously visited the same center. In the past, he has also participated in Vipassana sessions in Dharamkot, Nagpur, and Bengaluru.
What is Vipassana?
Vipassana is an ancient Indian meditation technique that means "to see things as they really are." Participants in Vipassana retreats completely disconnect from all forms of communication for a specific period. During this time, they do not speak or use any gestures to communicate. This practice is considered a powerful method of self-purification and self-reflection, helping individuals relieve stress and attain mental clarity.
