Gurdaspur (The Uttam Hindu): Last night in Gurdaspur, Punjab, in village Gunian under Sadar police station, the robbers who entered the house of an elderly Gursikh couple with a pistol were forced to flee by the elderly Baldev Singh. Despite being covered in blood during the attack, the elderly man fought the robbers. The robbers showed such cruelty that they brutally beat up the elderly Baldev Singh as well as his elderly wife Kashmir Kaur, but due to the courage of the elderly Baldev Singh, they ran away without looting, leaving the magazine of the pistol in the house. Three robbers have been captured in the nearby CCTV camera. One of the robbers riding a motorcycle remained standing outside the house, while two were seen entering the house.

Elder Baldev Singh, his wife Kashmir Kaur and the villagers said that around quarter to ten at night, two robbers entered the house and tried to tie the mouth of elderly Gursikh Baldev Singh and his wife Kashmir Kaur at gunpoint, but Baldev Singh bravely faced them and caught one of the robbers in his arms. Meanwhile, this robber kept hitting the butt of the pistol on the head and arms of the elderly, due to which blood started flowing from the head and arms of elderly Baldev Singh, but he did not leave the robber, then the other robber asked him to shoot, but in an attempt to shoot, the magazine of the pistol fell on the ground, after which the robber was forced to run away leaving the magazine full of bullets. At the same time, the residents of village Gunia said that this is a very unfortunate incident because elderly Baldev Singh was serving in the Gurudwara for a long time and now due to poor eyesight, he lives at home with his wife. His livelihood is very difficult. The robbers have brutally beaten the elderly couple.

The police has been informed about the incident and the police has reached the spot and seized the magazine. The robbers are clearly identified in the cameras installed in the Gurudwara Sahib, on the basis of which the police have claimed to have taken some people into custody. They demand that strict action should be taken against the robbers so that they cannot commit such a brutal crime again.
