Court Grants Four-Day Custody to Seven Amritpal Singh Associates

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu):  A local court has granted a four-day police remand for seven associates of Khadoor Sahib MP Amritpal Singh, who were brought to Punjab from Dibrugarh Jail in Assam. The individuals were arrested in connection with the 2023 attack on the Ajnala Police Station. Although the police requested a seven-day remand the court only approved four days of custody, which will last until March 25, 2025.

An FIR (No. 39/23) has been filed against the accused in relation to the attack. This incident is part of a broader wave of clashes between protesters and law enforcement, contributing to rising tensions in the area.
