Amritpal Announces New Party Name, Inspired by Akali Dal; MP Sarabjit Shares Details

Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): Amritpal Singh, an independent Member of Parliament (MP) from Khadur Sahib along with independent MP from Faridkot, Sarabjit Singh Khalsa has announced the name of their new political party while being incarcerated in Dibrugarh Jail. Sarabjit Singh Khalsa revealed that the new party will be named Shiromani Akali Dal Anandpur Sahib.

Sarabjit Singh Khalsa mentioned that the party will include individuals with a strong Sikh ideology and good character who are committed to saving Punjab. He added that their party would engage in a political fight for more rights for the state. The aim of the party is to provide an alternative option for the people of Punjab. Amritpal Singh’s father, Tarsem Singh, expressed concerns about the state of Punjab, stating that the state is sinking into the quagmire of drug addiction, religious conversions, farmer issues and the demand for the release of Sikh prisoners.

He assured that these issues would be addressed by their new political platform. The formal announcement of the party will be made on January 14 at the Mukti Mela in Muktasar during the "Panth Bachao, Punjab Bachao" conference. Tarsem Singh emphasized that the formation of a new political party is necessary to save Punjab. With the support of Amritpal Singh and his family, this new party aims to protect Punjab's interests. The announcement of the new party by Amritpal Singh's faction has created a stir in Punjab's political landscape.
