New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Cervical spondylitis, a condition causing neck pain and stiffness, is becoming increasingly common due to long hours spent sitting at computers or using mobile devices. This condition can lead to symptoms like neck stiffness, headaches, dizziness, and tingling in the hands, significantly affecting daily activities. However, performing certain exercises can help alleviate these issues by improving blood circulation and relieving pain.

Three effective exercises include:

1. Neck Tilt : This exercise helps stretch the muscles around the neck. Sit straight, bend your neck to one side, and try to bring your ear toward your shoulder. Hold for 15 seconds, then repeat on the other side. This movement reduces stiffness and alleviates pain.

2. Neck Rotation: To improve neck flexibility, slowly rotate your neck in one direction as if looking over your shoulder. Hold for 10 seconds, then rotate in the opposite direction. This exercise increases mobility and provides relief from pain.

3. Chin Tuck: This exercise strengthens the muscles at the back of the neck. Sit straight, tuck your chin slightly inward, hold for a few seconds, and return to the normal position. Repeat 10-12 times a day to reduce cervical pain.

By incorporating these simple exercises into your daily routine, you can relieve neck pain and improve your overall neck health.
