Ease your child’s leg pain with these 2 simple exercises
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): It’s common for children to experience leg pain after a day of playing, running, or engaging in physical activities. While this discomfort can be troubling for both parents and kids, there are simple exercises that can help relieve the pain and restore comfort. Experts recommend two effective exercises to soothe sore muscles and promote flexibility. The first is a gentle leg stretch. Have your child sit on the floor with their legs extended straight in front of them, and gently reach forward to touch their toes.
Holding this stretch for 15-30 seconds can help alleviate tightness in the hamstrings and calves. The second exercise is a leg raise, which strengthens and loosens the muscles. Ask your child to lie flat on their back and lift one leg at a time, keeping the knee straight, and holding it for 5-10 seconds before lowering it back down. This exercise encourages better blood circulation and strengthens leg muscles. These two exercises are simple yet effective ways to ease discomfort and help children recover quickly. If pain persists, however, it’s always a good idea to consult a healthcare professional for further advice.
