Yogi govt eyes slew of world records at Mahakumbh-2025 with dedicated team

Prayagraj (The Uttam Hindu): The Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, aims to set four world records at Mahakumbh 2025. The proposed records include the largest synchronized sweeping drive, the largest e-vehicle parade, the most handprint paintings created in 8 hours, and the largest river-cleaning campaign. The records will be pursued in strict adherence to the standards and guidelines set by the Guinness Book of World Records. To ensure this, a special team will soon be constituted by the government in coordination with Prayagraj Mela Authority.

This team will liaise with Guinness World Records officials and meticulously oversee the fulfillment and monitoring of all required procedures and standards. All four world records will be very special. In Mahakumbh-2025, the Yogi government is going to set 4 world records. These records are as follows:

Record No. 1: The first record will focus on the largest synchronized sweeping drive, with 15,000 participants coming together to carry out a coordinated cleaning effort.

Significance: This record underscores the importance of cleanliness and environmental stewardship as core values of the Mahakumbh Mela. It aims to amplify the message of collective responsibility in preserving the sanctity of this sacred gathering.

Record 2: Largest E-Vehicle Parade

The second record will showcase the largest e-vehicle parade, featuring a procession of 1,000 e-rickshaws and e-vehicles during Mahakumbh 2025.

Significance: This initiative emphasizes Mahakumbh's commitment to sustainable transport solutions, reducing carbon emissions, and enhancing last-mile connectivity. It also highlights innovation in creating an eco-friendly pilgrimage experience.

Record 3: Most Handprint Paintings Created in 8 Hours

The third record will be a reattempt to create the most handprint paintings within 8 hours, involving 10,000 participants contributing their unique handprints.

Record 4: Largest River Cleaning Drive

The fourth record will be the largest river-cleaning drive, involving 300 volunteers across multiple locations to clean and preserve the holy rivers.

Responsibilities of the Special Team

The special team, formed by the Yogi government and the Prayagraj Mela Authority to achieve Guinness World Records, will be tasked with the following:

* Establish contact and coordinate with the Guinness World Records team to assist the Prayagraj Mela Authority in finalizing a contract with them.

* Provide support in interpreting the performance guidelines set by Guinness World Records for the shortlisted record categories, ensuring clarity and compliance for all participants.

* Develop a verification process for accurately recording participant numbers for each record attempt. Prepare comprehensive Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents detailing event plans, work steps, and process verification for each record category.

* Coordinate with GWR to finalize the SOP, secure approval, and conduct a walkthrough of the finalized procedures.

* Assist organizers in finalizing the venue layout and developing training materials to prepare managers for counting and verifying.

* Verify participant numbers, conduct multiple mock drills before the main event, and ensure all processes are streamlined for accuracy. Play a pivotal role in compiling records and creating detailed reports after the event.
