Several Trains to Mata Vaishno Devi Canceled, Timings Altered: Check Full List and Updated Schedules
Reasi (The Uttam Hindu): In an important update for devotees of Mata Vaishno Devi, several trains heading to Jammu have been canceled due to fog and ongoing track maintenance work. Reports indicate that five trains have been completely canceled, while over a dozen others are experiencing significant delays. Passengers are facing inconvenience with many seen waiting at the Jammu railway station in the biting cold.
Starting from January 8, non-interlocking work on the tracks at Jammu railway station will begin, resulting in no trains arriving at the station during the day. This will affect the train schedules from January 8 to 14 with a total of 30 trains being impacted. Seven of these trains will be fully canceled, while others will be rerouted or terminated at stations such as Punjab, Delhi or Ambala.
