Rajasthan Budget 2025: ₹1000 Crore Allocation for 8 New Districts, Special Gifts for Jaipur and Other Cities

 Rajasthan (The Uttam Hindu) :  The Rajasthan government, led by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, presented its budget for the financial year 2025 on Wednesday. The budget, which focuses on development, infrastructure and job creation, has allocated ₹1000 crore for the creation of eight new districts in the state.

The new districts, which will be carved out of existing districts, will be Anupgarh, Balotra, Beawar, Deeg, Didwana, Kekri, Neem Ka Thana, and Phalodi. The creation of these new districts is expected to bring administration closer to the people and speed up development in these areas. In addition to the allocation for new districts, the budget has also made provisions for the development of infrastructure in Jaipur and other cities. The government has allocated ₹500 crore for the development of Jaipur's infrastructure, including roads, bridges, and public transportation.

"The budget is focused on development, infrastructure, and job creation," said Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. "We are committed to taking Rajasthan forward and making it a model state for development." The budget has also made provisions for the development of education, healthcare and social welfare sectors. The government has allocated ₹2000 crore for the development of education infrastructure, including schools and universities.

In the healthcare sector, the government has allocated ₹1500 crore for the development of hospitals and healthcare facilities. The budget has also made provisions for the implementation of various social welfare schemes, including pension schemes for the elderly and disabled. The opposition parties have welcomed the budget, but have also expressed reservations about the government's ability to implement its proposals. "The budget is ambitious, but the government needs to ensure that its proposals are implemented effectively," said a spokesperson for the opposition party.

The budget has been hailed as a "development-oriented" budget by experts, who say that it has the potential to take Rajasthan forward. "The budget is focused on development, infrastructure, and job creation, which are critical for the state's growth," said an economist. Overall  the Rajasthan budget 2025 has been welcomed by various stakeholders, who say that it has the potential to take the state forward. However, the government needs to ensure that its proposals are implemented effectively to achieve the desired results.
