PM Modi’s 11-point bombshell: crush corruption, end dynasties, and build a great India by 2047
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu):Prime Minister Narendra Modi, emphasizing his government's welfare initiatives, presented 11 key duties and pledges for citizens to contribute towards achieving a developed India by 2047. Among these were commitments to zero tolerance for corruption and eradicating the dynastic political system. Speaking during the second day of discussions marking 75 years of the Constitution's adoption, PM Modi criticized the negative impact of dynastic politics on the Constitution's spirit. He pledged to induct at least one lakh youth without political backgrounds into politics to infuse fresh energy into the nation. “It is our constitutional duty to free the country from dynastic politics,” the Prime Minister declared.
He underlined that the universal coverage of government welfare schemes is a genuine expression of social justice and secularism. PM Modi emphasized that citizens' duties and responsibilities form the essence of Indian civilization. The Prime Minister highlighted that the words “We the People” in the Constitution embody the mantra of ‘Sabka Vikas’ and urged for greater commitment to the Constitution in the 75th year of Independence. He stressed that fulfilling these duties would lead to the creation of “Shreshtha Bharat” (Great India).
Drawing inspiration from the Constitution, PM Modi outlined 11 pledges for citizens.
The duties included adherence to responsibilities by both citizens and the government, ensuring equal development for all under the principle of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas,’ and showing zero tolerance for corruption. He urged citizens to socially ostracize the corrupt.
PM Modi also called for respect for rules and regulations, pride in India’s heritage, and abandoning the colonial mindset.
Targeting the Congress, he introduced the sixth pledge of eliminating the dynastic system from the country’s political landscape.
The seventh pledge, also directed at Congress, emphasized respect for the Constitution and opposed its use as a political tool—a reference to Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, who often carry copies of the Constitution as political symbols.
The eighth pledge opposed religion-based reservations while affirming no tolerance for removing existing quotas.
Promoting women-led development and nation-building through strong state-building measures were the ninth and tenth duties listed by the Prime Minister.
The eleventh and final pledge called for “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” (One India, Great India) to be the guiding principle for all citizens.
