WATCH: Multiple Vehicle Collision on Delhi-Lucknow Expressway Due to Dense Fog

 Uttar Pradesh (The Uttam Hindu) :  A severe fog-related accident occurred on the Delhi-Lucknow Expressway in Hapur, Uttar Pradesh early today resulting in a massive pileup of vehicles.  At least half a dozen vehicles, including cars, trucks and buses collided with each other due to reduced visibility caused by dense fog. The accident took place near the Hapur toll plaza, where the fog was particularly thick reducing visibility to almost zero. The vehicles which were traveling at high speeds were unable to stop in time resulting in a chain reaction of collisions.


Fortunately, the police responded promptly and rushed to the scene. They quickly provided assistance and transported the injured to nearby hospitals for medical treatment. The authorities have reported that several people were injured in the accident, but fortunately, there have been no reported fatalities. The police have advised commuters to exercise extreme caution while driving in foggy conditions and to follow all traffic rules to minimize the risk of accidents. The authorities have also set up diversions on the expressway to allow traffic to flow smoothly while the accident is being cleared.

This incident highlights the importance of being vigilant while driving in adverse weather conditions and the need for drivers to take necessary precautions to ensure their safety and the safety of others on the road.
