Mahila Samridhi Yojana Approved: When Will Registration Begin?

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Delhi Chief Minister said that fulfilling the promise made to the sisters here during elections, the Cabinet has approved the Mahila Samridhi Yojana, under which poor women will now start getting Rs. 2500 per month. Rekha Gupta told reporters today that the Mahila Samridhi Yojana was approved in the cabinet meeting held today. A provision of Rs 5100 crore has been made in the budget for this scheme. He said that by making good use of the occasion of Women's Day, a cabinet meeting was held and the promise made to the sisters of Delhi in the manifesto for the Delhi elections was approved. For this, a budget provision of Rs 5100 crore has been made so that poor sisters can get benefits.

The Chief Minister said that a committee has been formed for this which she herself will chair and three ministers Ashish Sood, Parvesh Sahib Singh and Kapil Mishra will be its members. To implement the scheme, a portal will be created soon and the registration work will start. The official date of registration has not been announced but it is believed that it can be announced soon. The work will be started after a thorough discussion on its terms and conditions.
