Lucknow Double Murder: Son Arrested for Killing Parents with Hammer

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A young man in Mohanlalganj, Uttar Pradesh, allegedly bludgeoned his parents to death with a hammer before fleeing. Police have launched a search for the suspect and initiated an investigation after the victim's younger son filed a complaint. The motive behind the double murder is believed to be a property dispute.

The incident occurred in Jabaruli village, within the Mohanlalganj police station area of Lucknow. The victims, Jagdish Verma, 70, and his wife Shivpyari, 68, were residents of the village. They had two sons: Brishkit alias Lala (the elder son) and Devdutt (the younger son). Jagdish Verma worked as a blacksmith. According to reports, he had been involved in a prolonged property dispute with Brishkit, leading to frequent quarrels at home.
