Intense encounter in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur: Three Naxals killed by security forces

Bijapur (The Uttam Hindu): The confrontation between security forces and Naxals in Chhattisgarh continues as another fierce encounter took place in Bijapur district. According to a senior police officer, the clash erupted on Sunday morning when a joint team of security personnel was carrying out an anti-Naxal operation in a forest area under the jurisdiction of the Madder police station.

During the operation, gunfire ensued and three Naxals were killed. The officer stated that personnel from the District Reserve Guard, Special Task Force, and District Force were involved in the operation. As per the officer, intermittent gunfire is still ongoing in the area, suggesting that the encounter has not yet ended.
