Delhi Cabinet Oath Ceremony: Rekha Gupta & Six Ministers to Take Charge at 12:15 PM
New Delhi (Uttam Hindu News): Shalimar Bagh MLA Rekha Gupta will take oath as the new Chief Minister of Delhi today. She will be the fourth woman CM of Delhi. Before her, Sushma Swaraj, Sheila Dixit and Atishi have taken charge. The swearing-in ceremony will be held at 12:15 pm at Ramlila Maidan. Along with her, 6 ministers - Pravesh Verma, Ashish Sood, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Ravinder Indraj Singh, Kapil Mishra and Pankaj Kumar Singh will also take oath. Notification has also been issued regarding 6 ministers. Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena will administer the oath to the new Chief Minister and his cabinet today at 12.35 pm. Preparations for the swearing-in ceremony have also been completed. All the Union Ministers including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Ministers and Deputy CMs of BJP and NDA ruled states will also attend it. Security arrangements are tight at Ramlila Maidan. NSD commandos, Delhi Police personnel and RAF (Rapid Action Force) personnel are deployed for security at Ramlila Maidan. More than 25,000 security personnel and more than 15 companies of paramilitary forces have been deployed in Delhi.

Rekha Gupta has been elected MLA for the first time from Delhi's Shalimar Bagh seat. She defeated AAP's Bandana Kumari by a margin of 29,595 votes. The results of the Delhi Assembly elections were declared on February 8. The BJP got a historic victory after 26 years. It won 48 out of 70 seats while the Aam Aadmi Party was reduced to 22.
