Bihar (The Uttam Hindu) : Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Samrat Chaudhary presented the Bihar Budget 2025-26 in the state legislative assembly, proposing a budget of ₹3.17 lakh crore. This marks a significant increase of ₹38,000 crore from the previous year's budget.
Key Highlights of the Budget:
- Student Credit Card Scheme: ₹1000 crore allocated to provide financial assistance to students.
- Social Welfare Department: ₹13,368 crore allocated for various social welfare schemes.
- Energy Department: ₹13,484 crore allocated for energy development and infrastructure.
