The woman, Shabnam, a mother of three children, met Shiva during her daily morning walks. Over time, their meetings turned into love, and despite the significant age and religious differences, they decided to marry.

Their relationship soon reached the local panchayat, where after listening to both sides, the panchayat reportedly gave its approval for the marriage. Following the wedding, Shabnam converted to Hinduism and changed her name to Shivani.
