15 Muslim Leaders Quit JDU, Sparking Concerns Ahead of Assembly Elections
Bihar (The Uttam Hindu) : Big news is coming from Motihari district of Bihar. In fact, after JDU's stand on the Waqf Bill, the fascination of Muslim leaders with JDU in Motihari district of Bihar seems to be ending. After the approval of the Waqf Amendment Bill, 15 Muslim leaders in Motihari have left JDU in anger. The series of resignations of Muslim leaders of the ruling Janata Dal United (JDU) in Bihar on the Waqf Amendment Bill continues. In this sequence, 15 Muslim leaders of JDU have collectively resigned in Motihari.
Actually, this whole matter is of Dhaka assembly constituency, a Muslim dominated area of Motihari, where 15 Muslim leaders of JDU have resigned together. During this, these leaders also raised slogans against the Chief Minister of the state Nitish Kumar. These leaders said that we considered Nitish Kumar a well-wisher of Muslims. But, he has broken the trust of Muslims by supporting the Waqf Amendment Bill.
