Patwari and Kanungo Return to Work After Strike Ends, Ministry Provides Assurance

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Patwaris and Kanungos have unconditionally ended the strike on the 13th day. All the employees will return to work today. This decision was taken in a meeting with Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi in the committee room of the Mahasangh Vidhan Sabha.

The federation discussed the demands with Negi. Negi clarified the situation regarding the new rules and said that the state cadre will not be withdrawn. He assured that the formation of a state cadre will not have any impact on promotions.

Patwaris and Kanungos were on indefinite pen down strike from February 28. Due to this, no revenue related work and certificate making work was being done. Federation President Satish Chaudhary said that the meeting with the Revenue Minister was fruitful. The strike is being withdrawn from Thursday. The minister has assured that the recruitment and promotion rules will not be affected in any way.
