Man falls from roof in Nirmand; succumbs to severe head injury, police alerted

Kullu (The Uttam Hindu): A person tragically fell approximately 50 feet from a cliff near Bayal Adit in Nirmand, Kullu district, resulting in his death. The police have registered a case and initiated an investigation.

According to police reports, they received information on Friday evening about an unconscious individual near Bayal Adit. Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered a man lying near a water canal behind the Bayal Adit road, having fallen from a height of about 50 feet. He had sustained a severe head injury and was already deceased by the time help arrived.

During the investigation, police found an Aadhar card and PAN card in the victim's pocket, identifying him as Santosh Kumar, son of Sant Lal from Delth village, Nankhari tehsil. His family was notified of the incident, and upon their arrival, they confirmed his identity. Following the completion of the postmortem, the body was handed over to his family. DSP Chandra Shekhar confirmed the details of the case, stating that the individual died after falling from the cliff.
