Lawyer Kills Two in Una, Himachal Pradesh, Over Land Dispute: Victims Identified as Father and Son
Una (The Uttam Hindu): A horrifying incident took place in the Haroli police station area of Una district, Himachal Pradesh, where a lawyer shot and killed a Gram Panchayat Pradhan's husband and his son over a land dispute. The victims have been identified as 51-year-old Sanjeev Kumar and his 26-year-old son, Ravindra Kumar, both residents of Bhadsali village.
The accused, lawyer Deepak Kumar, a resident of Lower Bhadsali and son of a retired tehsildar, is currently absconding. Upon receiving the report of the incident, police rushed to the scene and initiated an investigation. SP Una, Rakesh Singh, confirmed that the police have started collecting evidence related to the murders and have formed teams to arrest the accused.
Initial findings revealed that there had been an ongoing land dispute between Sanjeev Kumar and Deepak Kumar. As a result of this dispute, Deepak Kumar attacked Sanjeev Kumar and his son, shooting both of them to death. The incident has sent shockwaves through the local community. The police are actively working to apprehend the accused and have promised swift action in the case.
