Police Busts Cyber Fraud Racket, 11 Arrested

Palwal(The Uttam Hindu): Palwal Police have achieved considerable success in a fraud amounting to 88 lakh rupees. At least eleven people were arrested in a connection with a Chinese syndicate. 31 mobile phones, 5 ATM cards, 8 checkbooks, one Honda City, one Tata Safari, two Ciaz vehicle, around 9 lakh rupees cash, and a sizeable quantity of cloned SIM cards have been seized from them.

In a broader perspective, the Cyber Racket has caused the registration of 101 complaints and FIRs through NCRP Portal by various states amounting to an estimated total fraud of around 70 crore rupees.

DSP Palwal, Vishal Kumar informed that he took time to bring out the fact that in order to mitigate financial losses the victims of cyber fraud need to report to the Helpline of the National Cyber at 1930. DSP Kumar stated during his recent press conference that Inspector Naveen Kumar and his team at the Cyber Crime Station are relentless in their pursuit of cyber fraudsters, ever since SP Palwal, Shri Chandra Mohan IPS, took them under his wing as part of the Anti-Cyber Fraud Campaign. The eleven arrested in this cyber crackdown are the fruits of their labor.
