20-Year Jail Term for Man Convicted of Raping Minor in Bhiwani

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The Additional Sessions Judge Fast Track POCSO Court of Bhiwani in Haryana on Thursday convicted the accused of raping a minor and sentenced him to 20 years of imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs three lakh five thousand.

In this case, the Siwani police station had registered a case in the year 2023. During the hearing of the case, the court considered the case to be very serious and did not show any leniency in the punishment of the culprit. According to the case, in the year 2023, the father of a minor girl had lodged a case with the Siwani police in the case of the accused luring and kidnapping the minor and raping her. After this, the minor's statement was recorded before the magistrate and the investigation unit assessed the important evidence and took effective action in the case and arrested the accused and presented him in the court.

While hearing the case, today the court sentenced the accused Umed Singh resident of Rivaasa, Bhiwani.
