Rs 72 Crore Gift: Fan Wills Rs 72 Crore, Including Property and Cash, to Sanjay Dutt
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): In an extraordinary turn of events Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt was left stunned when he discovered that a female fan Nisha Patil had willed her entire property to him before her passing.
In 2018 Dutt was informed by the police that Nisha who had passed away two weeks earlier had left all her belongings worth Rs 72 crore to the actor. Along with the will Nisha had also written several letters to bank officials requesting them to transfer everything to Dutt. Despite the unexpected gesture Sanjay Dutt made it clear that he would not claim the property. "I did not know Nisha and I am very overwhelmed by the entire incident to speak about it," he said.
The actor also confirmed that he would not seek anything from the inheritance and that legal procedures should be followed to return the valuables to her family. Dutt's attorney further confirmed that they would adhere to the necessary legal steps to ensure the belongings were transferred to the rightful family members. On the work front Sanjay Dutt was last seen in Ghudchadi alongside Raveena Tandon. Directed by Binoy Gandhi the film is now available for streaming on Jio Cinema. Next, Dutt will star in the pan-India film KD The Devil alongside Dhruva Sarja, Shilpa Shetty Kundra and V Ravichandran.
