Coldplay adds January 26 Performance in Ahmedabad after first show sells out in minutes
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The legendary British band Coldplay has added a second show in Ahmedabad after the first concert sold out within minutes of ticket sales opening on Saturday, November 16. As part of their highly anticipated Music of the Spheres world tour, Coldplay will now perform two nights in the city, much to the excitement of fans eager to see the iconic band live. The additional show will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium on January 25 and 26. If you missed out on tickets for Coldplay's Ahmedabad concert on January 25, 2025, don't worry. Shortly after the first show sold out on Saturday afternoon, BookMyShow added a second concert for January 26, 2025. However, that too sold out within minutes of tickets going live.
The tickets for Coldplay's highly anticipated fourth concert in India, scheduled for January 25, 2025, at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, went on sale at noon on Saturday. But as expected, the demand was overwhelming, with queues quickly reaching the lakhs. Around 12:30 pm, a notification appeared on the booking page announcing the addition of a second show on January 26. The second round of ticket sales began at 1 pm, but within moments, those tickets were snapped up as well. Fans flooded social media, expressing their frustration, with many commenting, “I’m exhausted.” Coldplay's India tour was first announced in September, with shows on January 18 and 19, 2025, at DY Patil Sports Stadium. Due to overwhelming demand, a third show was added for January 21. The Enforcement Directorate has launched an investigation into the alleged illegal resale of Coldplay and Diljit Dosanjh concert tickets after they sold out almost instantly on official platforms, with many tickets appearing on unauthorized sites at inflated prices. The newly added Ahmedabad shows on January 25 and 26, 2025, will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium, which has a capacity of 1.32 lakh. These concerts are expected to be Coldplay's largest ever, with an estimated audience of 100,000 fans for each show.
