24-Year-Old Woman Found Dead in Delhi, Husband Suspected of Murder

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A 24-year-old woman, identified as Deepa was found dead in her rented accommodation in the Dabri area of Delhi's Dwarka district on January 3, 2025. The woman had been married for five years and lived with her husband who is now absconding and is suspected to be responsible for her death.

According to the police, Deepa's father, Ashok Chauhan reported that he last spoke to her on December 29, after which her phone was switched off, prompting concern. On Friday, the police received information about the murder and a team was sent to the scene. Upon arriving, they found Deepa's decomposed body in the bedroom of the house. Deepa's father filed a complaint, alleging that her husband, Dhanraj was responsible for her death.

A case of murder has been registered and an investigation is underway. The police have formed multiple teams to track down Dhanraj who is currently absconding. Meanwhile, the couple’s two-year-old child is staying with Deepa’s maternal uncle. The police have sent the body for a post-mortem examination and are continuing their investigation into the incident.
