From Food to Forever: Zomato Rebrands as Eternal Ltd, Embarks on New Journey

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): In a major development, Zomato Ltd has received shareholder approval to change its corporate name to Eternal Ltd. This move is a significant step in the company's bid to diversify its quick commerce operations beyond food delivery. The name change, approved through a postal ballot, applies only to the corporate entity and not to the Zomato brand or app. The company has reassured users that its food delivery service will continue under the same name. In addition to the name change, shareholders also approved amendments to the company's Memorandum of Association (MoA) and Articles of Association (AoA). These changes will reflect the new corporate identity. This rebranding move aligns with Zomato's long-term vision as it expands into new ventures, including Blinkit, Hyperpure, and District. The company's CEO, Deepinder Goyal, stated that the name change reflects the company's expanding ambitions. 

The rebranding is expected to strengthen Zomato's market presence and signal its commitment to long-term growth. The company aims to maintain its leadership in the competitive food-tech and e-commerce ecosystem. Zomato shares were trading at Rs 214.25 apiece at 11:40 am on Monday, March 10, down 1.18%.
