Trump Orders Removal of Transgender Personnel from Army Within 30 Days

Washington (The Uttam Hindu): Ever since US President Trump came to power, he has been taking many tough decisions against transgenders. Now, according to the information given in the court, the Trump government is going to remove transgender soldiers from the US Army. Transgenders have already been banned from joining or serving in the army.

First there was a ban on recruitment, now order to expel transgenders from the army in 30 days; Another action of Trump: Trump said a man who identifies himself as a woman cannot become a soldier. This month, the Pentagon said the US military will no longer allow transgender individuals to join and will stop facilitating gender transition procedures for service members.

The Trump administration told the court that we will create a process to identify transgender soldiers within 30 days and then separate them from the army within 30 days. The Pentagon has also said that it is the policy of the US government to set high standards for soldier readiness, lethality, cohesion, honesty, politeness, uniformity and integrity.

According to US Department of Defense data, the military has about 1.3 million active duty troops. However, transgender rights advocates say more than 15,000 transgenders serve in it.
