Sonia Gandhi Calls President Murmu ‘Poor Lady,’ Labels Speech Boring

New Delhi  (The Uttam Hindu): Politics has heated up due to the comment made by Congress leader Sonia Gandhi on the address of President Draupadi Murmu in the joint session of Parliament. After the President's address, Sonia Gandhi said, "She is a poor lady and was tired after the address.

In fact, when journalists asked her questions in the Parliament premises, Sonia called the President a poor lady.

Meanwhile, the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, called President Murmu's speech boring. He said that the President was repeating old things. After this, Sonia said that the President was very tired. She was able to speak with great difficulty. The poor lady spoke bad things.

Now politics has heated up over this. BJP said that Sonia Gandhi has insulted the President. BJP National President JP Nadda, referring to Sonia Gandhi's statement, called Congress anti-tribal. Posting on Instagram, he said, "We condemn the use of the word 'Poor' for India's President Draupadi Murmu by BJP workers. Congress does this deliberately, which reflects its anti-poor and anti-tribal thinking. Congress party should apologize unconditionally to the President and the tribal communities of India."

BJP MP Sambit Patra has also reacted to the statement of Congress leader Sonia Gandhi. He said, "The statement given by Sonia Gandhi regarding the speech is not correct. The President has put forth his point boldly. Sonia Gandhi should apologize for her comment." Taking a jibe at Rahul Gandhi, the BJP MP said that he is not able to launch himself again and again.
