Rohtak (The Uttam Hindu): The Haryana government has once again shown kindness to Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh and granted him 21 days furlough. Ram Rahim, who was serving sentence in Rohtak's Sunaria jail in the rape and murder case, was released this morning.

It is being told that Ram Rahim had applied for furlough in view of the foundation day of the Dera on 29 April. A big event is planned in the Dera on this occasion, in which Ram Rahim wanted to participate. The Haryana government has accepted his application and approved this leave of 21 days.

On reaching Sirsa, Ram Rahim has also released a video message. In this, he has urged his followers to maintain peace and avoid coming to the Dera during his furlough stay.

It is worth noting that Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh was convicted in the case of raping two nuns in August 2017 by a special CBI court in Panchkula. Later, he was also sentenced in the case of murder of journalist Ramchandra Chhatrapati. Since then, he is lodged in Rohtak's Sunaria jail. He has been granted parole and furlough several times before.
