Punjabi youth reveals details in Canada’s drug superlab investigation
Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): Recently, drugs were seized in Canada, linked to a youth from Jalandhar. However, the case has taken a new twist with the revelation of the name of the youth involved. According to reports, Gaganpreet Singh Randhawa, a resident of Alawalpur, Jalandhar, was initially identified as the main suspect in the drug case. Canadian police discovered around 54 kg of fentanyl, 390 kg of methamphetamine, 35 kg of cocaine, 15 kg of MDMA, 6 kg of cannabis, and 50,000 Canadian dollars during the investigation.
In a recent video, Gaganpreet Singh Randhawa from Alawalpur has clarified that he is safe and sound in Canada. He denied being involved in the drug case and refuted claims that he was the main accused. He stated that the news circulating about his involvement was false and pointed out that a person with the same name had been arrested, leading to confusion. The viral photo of the arrested individual caused the mistaken belief that he was the one involved. Randhawa also confirmed that his family has issued a statement confirming that he is safe in Canada.
It’s important to note that a few days ago, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police uncovered a drug lab in Canada, which led to the identification of a young man from Jalandhar, Punjab. The Canadian authorities had recovered a significant amount of drugs, chemicals, and weapons during the raid. A man named Gaganpreet, of Indian origin, was arrested and initially identified as the alleged leader of the operation.
