Punjab Government Cracks Down on Corruption, Officials Ordered to Take Strict Action
Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): The Punjab government is in action mode against corruption. Strict orders have been given to the DM, SDM, SSP and SHO of all the districts to keep a close watch on corruption in their respective areas and take effective steps to stop it. This is being considered an important step taken by the state government to end corruption.
The Punjab government has clearly warned all the concerned officials that if they fail to control corruption in their area, strict action will be taken against them. Apart from this, the state government has also ensured that the evaluation of the action against corruption will be taken from the public and local MLAs. This will ensure that the efforts to eliminate corruption at the regional level are going in the right direction and the officials are performing their duties.
