PM Modi Vows Stern Action: 'No One Involved in Pahalgam Attack Will Be Spared'
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): During his visit to Saudi Arabia, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday expressed grief over the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. PM Modi said that whoever is involved in this attack will not be spared. He also said that the nefarious intention of the terrorists will never succeed. PM Modi wrote on social media platform X, "I strongly condemn the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. I express my condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. I pray that the injured recover soon. All possible help is being provided to the affected people." He further said, "Those who are behind this heinous act will be brought to justice, they will not be spared. Their terrorist agenda will never succeed. Our resolve to fight terrorism is unwavering and it will get stronger."
Earlier, PM Modi spoke to Union Home Minister Amit Shah over the phone regarding the Pahalgam terror attack. According to information received from Government of India sources, PM Modi also asked him to take strict action and visit the spot. At the same time, Union Home Minister Amit Shah wrote on the social media platform X regarding the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, "I am saddened by the terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. My condolences are with the family members of the deceased. Those involved in this heinous terrorist attack will not be spared and we will take strict action against the culprits and give them the harshest punishment. Informed Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the incident and held a meeting with the concerned officials through video conferencing. Will leave for Srinagar soon to hold an immediate security review meeting with all the agencies.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh condemned the attack and wrote on Twitter, "Deeply saddened by the news of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. This attack on innocent civilians is cowardly and highly condemnable. My condolences and prayers are with the innocent victims and their families."
