PM Modi Flags Off Hisar-Ayodhya Flight, Lays Foundation for New Terminal

Hisar (The Uttam Hindu): Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave the gift of the first airport to Hisar. He flagged off the Hisar-Ayodhya flight from the airport and also laid the foundation stone of the new terminal by pressing a button. Congratulating the people of Haryana on this auspicious day, he said, "This beginning will take the development of Haryana to new heights."

PM Modi said, today flights have started from Haryana to Ayodhya Dham. This means that now the holy land of Shri Krishna ji, Haryana, is directly connected to the land of Shri Ram ji. Very soon flights will start from here to other cities as well. Today, the foundation stone of the new terminal building of Hisar Airport has also been laid. This beginning will take the development of Haryana to new heights. I congratulate the people of Haryana for this new beginning. My promise to you has been that even those wearing slippers will fly in an airplane.

The Prime Minister told the story of common people's air travel through a statistic. He said, in the last ten years, crores of Indians have traveled by air for the first time in their lives. We have built new airports even in those places where there were no good railway stations. Before 2014, there were 74 airports in the country, 74 in 70 years. Today, the number of airports in the country has crossed 150.

While congratulating the people on the special occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti, PM Modi said, today is a very important day for all of us, for the entire country and especially for the Dalits, the oppressed, the deprived and the exploited. This is the second Diwali in their lives. Today is the birth anniversary of the architect of the Constitution, Baba Saheb Ambedkar. His life, his struggle, his message has become the inspiration for the 11-year journey of our government. Every day, every decision, every policy is dedicated to Baba Saheb Ambedkar.
