Mumbai (The Uttam Hindu): A big controversy has recently arisen over stand-up comedian Samay Raina's show India's Got Latent. Cases have been filed against him in Delhi, Mumbai and Assam due to a statement made by Ranveer Allahabadia in the new episode. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Vishwa Sharma said that a case has been filed against the team in Assam as well.

Seeing the controversy growing, YouTube took the step of removing the controversial episode. The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) had directed YouTube to remove the video and issued an order to respond within three days, after which the video has been removed.

After the case was registered, Mumbai Police contacted Samay Raina and Ranveer Allahabadia. The police have asked both of them to appear before the investigating officers and present their side and cooperate.

There has been a strong reaction on social media regarding the comments made during the show. Ranveer Allahabadia shared a post on social media and apologized for his comments and said, "My comment was neither appropriate nor funny. Comedy is not my specialty. I have only come to apologize."

After this controversy, social media users have demanded a ban on Ranveer Allahabadia and India's Got Latent and have started unsubscribing Ranveer. Netizens say that Allahabadia does not deserve the popularity he is getting. At present, no additional response has been given on this matter by Samay Raina and Ranveer Allahabadia.
