Major Mishap at Yavatmal Dal Mill: Storage Unit Collapse Kills Three

Yavatmal (The Uttam Hindu): A tragic industrial accident occurred in the MIDC area of Maharashtra's Yavatmal district, where the collapse of a steel storage unit in a dal mill led to the death of three workers and injuries to two others. The incident took place on Tuesday evening at the Manorama Jain Dal Mill.

According to police, five workers were present at the site when the storage structure suddenly gave way and collapsed, trapping them underneath. While three workers died on the spot, the other two were rushed to the hospital and are currently undergoing treatment.

Authorities confirmed that two of the deceased workers were from Madhya Pradesh, while the third hailed from Maharashtra’s Wardha district. The incident has caused panic in the area, and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the collapse and whether safety protocols were in place.
